Daily Tasks/Shared Living
When you choose Quality Life Care for your SIL support, you're getting a little more choice and control in your life. We believe that everyone should be able to decide how much help they need, and how much independence they want. That's why we offer Supported Independent Living (SIL) services to our participants who need assistance with daily life activities.
1.Supported Independent Living
Supported Independent Living is different from Specialist Disability Accommodation. With SIL, we help participants to have more choices and control over their lives. The SIL service includes offering support in terms of help in preparing meals and cleaning up after yourself, assistance in personal care tasks like bathing or dressing yourself, support during medical appointments, and more.
2.SIL services Inclusion
However, SIL services do not include help with community participation, transport, internet connection, food or consumables. In a SIL service, the assistant or the support staff either stays with the person or in a nearby building within quick access and attends to the person when required. This way, the participant does not feel that they are fully dependent on another individual.
